Some New Year's Eve rockets and fountains whistle because of the way they are designed. The whistling sound is created by the rocket or fountain as it shoots into the air and releases gas or sparks. This design feature adds an element of excitement and anticipation to the fireworks display, as the whistling sound builds up to the moment when the fireworks explode in a burst of color. Additionally, the whistling sound can also help to capture the attention of the audience and create a festive atmosphere during the New Year's Eve celebration. **

No, it is not possible to see the fireworks from rockets on New Year's Eve from space. Fireworks are relatively small and short-lived, and the light they produce is not bright enough to be visible from space. Additionally, the atmosphere and the curvature of the Earth would obstruct the view of fireworks from space. Astronauts on the International Space Station have reported that they are unable to see individual fireworks displays from their vantage point in low Earth orbit. **
